Yale New Haven Hospital’s diversity and inclusion efforts continue to evolve, with an Inclusion Team composed of representatives from throughout the hospital and Yale Medical Group.

Inclusion teams at Yale New Haven Health System delivery networks and the health system’s Executive Inclusion Team have developed a new vision statement: “Our system will be a model of inclusion and respect.” YNHH also has a new diversity and inclusion intranet site – click “Diversity & Inclusion” on the upper right of the YNHH intranet home page.

Among the inclusion teams’ priorities is providing training to help all employees care for and work with a diverse patient population. As part of YNHHS’ designation as a leader in LGBTQ healthcare equality, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is offering education about creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients and staff. Employees are encouraged to complete one or more of these courses by visiting the YNHH intranet home page. to register for training. Be sure to enter the facility ID: 55689, and security code: HRC, to ensure YNHH receives credit for your taking the training.
