Save the date: Joseph A Zaccagnino Conference May 11

The 2016 Zaccagnino conference featured poster abstracts on a variety of quality and safety topics, a national speaker and awards.


Yale New Haven Health System's annual Joseph A. Zaccagnino Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Conference will be Thursday, May 11, at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, 155 Temple St., New Haven. Co-sponsored by Yale New Haven Health and Yale Medicine, the conference provides an opportunity for individuals throughout YNHHS to meet and discuss activities related to patient safety and quality.

This year's keynote speaker is Peter Pronovost, MD, PhD, director, Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, and senior vice president, Patient Safety and Quality, Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Pronovost, a world-renowned patient safety leader and researcher, has devoted his career to making hospitals and health care safer for patients by reducing medical errors and preventable patient harm. Modern Healthcare named him as one of the "50 Most Influential Physician Executives in Healthcare."

To register, log in to the Employee Self Service portal, select the "Career" tab, then click "Training" followed by "Course List." For Filter Options, click "Active Courses." Search for "Joseph A. Zaccagnino Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Conference 2017," and click to enroll.
