Terrie Estes has been named vice president, Corporate Compliance, and chief compliance officer, Yale New Haven Health System. She became YNHHS privacy compliance officer in 2015, after serving for two years as compliance and privacy officer for Yale New Haven and Bridgeport hospitals. Before that, she was director, Internal Audit, chief compliance officer and director, Planning and Business Development, for the Saint Raphael Health System. Estes earned her BS degree in business economics from Southern Connecticut State University, her MS in human service administration from Antioch New England Graduate School and her MS in management from Albertus Magnus College.

Opal Smith, RN, BSN, has been named patient service manager of the YNHH Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Milford Hospital. She started her nursing career in rehabilitation nursing at Bridgeport Hospital in 1997, then served as a nursing supervisor and director at Northbridge Health Care in Bridgeport. Before joining YNHH, Smith was a float nurse and nurse leader at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She earned her BSN from St. Vincent’s College.
