Every 9 minutes a name is added to the national transplant waiting list. We see firsthand, every day, the need of our patients and their families to regain hope and health.

Through the Yale New Haven Transplantation Center, we provide expert, comprehensive and compassionate care for adults and children from around the world who are candidates for liver, kidney and heart transplantation. This includes care offered through our Center for Living Organ Donors that arranges for kidney and liver transplants from living donors.

As the region's leader in the treatment of advanced liver disease, we offer innovative treatments and access to research trials for our patients. We also are a major referral center for other transplant programs faced with particularly challenging cases.

The Well-Informed Patient
We encourage patients to ask questions about our program as well as their diagnosis, transplantation, post-transplant care. Any program can claim to be the best, but our results attest to the high caliber of our work.  According to one-year survival rates reported by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, a national database of organ transplantation statistics, Yale New Haven Transplantation Center shows superior outcomes among adult and pediatric patients for liver and kidney transplants.
