Patients

Reach out to your doctor or healthcare facility if you have an upcoming appointment for the latest information on hours of operation and visitor guidelines. Many offices are now offering telehealth services in addition to in-person visits at this time. We want to make sure you receive the care you need, when you need it.

If you think you have COVID-19 symptoms, call your doctor or healthcare facility before visiting.

Patient Care Updates

Saint Raphael Campus Maternity Patients

Yale New Haven Hospital is committed to providing the safest possible care to our patients and staff throughout the COVID-19 crisis. All obstetric care has been consolidated to our York Street Campus. Effective April 9, patients scheduled to deliver at our Saint Raphael’s Campus Vidone Birth Center should go to our York Street Campus and check in at admissions by entering through the Children’s Hospital entrance at 1 Park Street, New Haven. Valet parking is available 24 hours a day at this location. You will receive one complimentary valet stay following your delivery. Click here for other paid parking options.

Visitor Guidelines

Visitors are limited at this time. Visitor guidelines vary by department. Consult the patient’s care team for guidelines regarding your visit.

Exceptions to this policy may be made for neonatal ICU (NICU), pediatric, obstetric and psychiatric units as well as for extenuating circumstances, including those receiving end-of-life care and patients with disabilities who require a support person.

We continue to monitor the situation. The visitation guidelines will be amended when appropriate.

Face Coverings

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently recommends wearing face coverings in public settings. To the extent possible, patients and visitors must wear a mask or face covering while at any of Yale New Haven Health’s hospitals, outpatient centers, ambulatory sites or clinics. More information on wearing and making face masks can be found on the CDC website.
